Kim Kardashian Reveals Broken Finger Injury

Kim Kardashian recently opened up about a severe finger injury she described as “more painful than childbirth.” The incident, involving a sliding door and a late-night snack, was discussed in the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians’.

At her doctor’s office, the 43-year-old Skims founder arrived with two fingers on her left hand bandaged. When a producer asked what happened, Kardashian explained that she had a mishap with her bathroom’s large sliding door. The door, which has no latch, usually stops with her hand. However, this time, she pulled it hard just as her 8-year-old son Saint ran in with chips. Distracted, she pulled the door, which then slammed shut on her fingers.

Kardashian described the painful moment: “I literally looked at my hand and I fell to the ground,” as the show displayed graphic images of her injured fingers. Her index and ring fingertips had turned purplish-grey, and a shard of bone was visible in her middle finger.

In a confessional, Kardashian recalled, “I just grabbed the table and got on my knees because I saw all this blood. It was my bone sticking out a little bit.” She whispered for help, asking for ice but didn’t scream or react loudly. She described the pain as being more intense than childbirth, adding that her body went into shock.

An X-ray revealed the tip of her finger bone had broken. She told a staff member at her doctor’s office, “It’s like a floating piece… I wanted to die.” The doctor warned her that her nail might never grow back, to which she joked about inventing a nail implant.

Kardashian has been using a hyperbaric chamber to aid in her recovery, spending four hours in it the previous day. Hyperbaric chambers help wounds heal faster by exposing them to 100% oxygen at higher pressures.

At plastic surgeon Dr John Layke’s office, Kardashian showed the bloody stump at the top of her finger. The doctor reassured her that she would not need an amputation and that her injury could have been much worse.
