Kylie Minogue Performs ‘Padam Padam’ at People’s Choice Awards 2024

During the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, Kylie Minogue captivated the audience with her performance of ‘Padam Padam,’ a dance-pop single from her 2023 album ‘Tension’. 

Adorned in a gauzy red dress and bathed in red lighting, Minogue’s stage presence was mesmerising as she belted out the sizzling dance number. Backed by a troupe of dancers whose choreography seamlessly complemented the energetic vibe of the song, Minogue delivered a performance that left a lasting impression.

This performance came on the heels of Minogue’s recent success at the Grammys, where she clinched the inaugural ‘Best Pop Dance Recording’ award for ‘Padam Padam’. 

The track, named after Minogue’s onomatopoeic representation of a heartbeat, solidified her comeback in the music industry and marked her first Grammy win in two decades. Reflecting on her achievement, Minogue expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasised the significance of longevity and evolution in her career.

In addition to her solo endeavours, Minogue recently collaborated with Sia on ‘Dance Alone,’ a track set to appear on Sia’s upcoming album, ‘Reasonable Woman.’ This collaboration underscores Minogue’s continued relevance and versatility as an artist.

Minogue’s performance at the People’s Choice Awards joined those of other esteemed artists like Lainey Wilson and Lenny Kravitz. Hosted by Simu Liu, the event celebrated the best in film, TV, music, and pop culture, with winners determined by public votes. Held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, the awards ceremony provided a platform to honour outstanding achievements and contributions across various entertainment genres.
