Lady Gaga Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumours With Witty Taylor Swift Reference

Lady Gaga won’t be welcoming a little monster anytime soon. The 38-year-old singer dispelled pregnancy rumours after photos emerged of her at her sister Natali Germanotta’s wedding in Maine.

Gaga addressed the rumours with a playful TikTok video, showing a close-up of her bleached eyebrows and making a cheeky reference to Taylor Swift’s song ‘Down Bad.’ “Not pregnant — just down bad cryin’ at the gym register to vote at www.headcount.org,” she wrote in bold white letters over the video.

In the caption, Gaga reiterated the importance of voting, urging fans to “Register to vote or check if you’re registered EASILY at www.headcount.org.”

The 10-second clip featured Gaga lip-syncing to an audio clip, saying, “I don’t have to find an aesthetic; I am the aesthetic. I mean, I’m sure there’s somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me.” In another clip posted on X (formerly Twitter), Gaga winked at the camera, again denying pregnancy rumours and promoting voter registration.

In April, Gaga sparked similar speculation when she was seen wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand, leading fans to wonder if she and her boyfriend, Michael Polansky, were engaged. Her representative has not commented on this.

Gaga was previously engaged to talent agent Christian Carino, with their relationship lasting from February 2017 to February 2019. Before that, she dated Taylor Kinney for about four years and was engaged to him in February 2015 before they split a year later.

At a Q&A during the Los Angeles premiere of her HBO concert special, ‘Gaga Chromatica Ball,’ in May, Gaga revealed that she has been busy creating new music. “I am in the studio every single day. I have written so many songs, I’ve been producing so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before,” she shared. “I love to break genre, and I love to explore music.”
