Ethan Slater, a Tony-nominated actor, recently concluded his five-year marriage with Lilly Jay amidst swirling rumours of a potential romance with his Wicked co-star, Ariana Grande. Reflecting on their enduring bond, Slater shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute, commemorating a decade of companionship. "My closest companion. Four years into marriage, a decade together," he wrote, encapsulating their journey.

Their connection, however, transcended their adult years, as revealed by a magazine feature detailing Slater's role in the 'SpongeBob SquarePants Musical' on Broadway, which uncovered their shared history as high school peers.

After savouring four years of marital bliss, Lilly and Ethan joyously welcomed the birth of their son, a momentous occasion celebrated with an endearing Instagram post featuring a charming ‘Wicked Cute’ onesie. 

Their happiness coincided with reports surfacing on the budding romance between the two Wicked actors. This revelation emerged shortly after Ariana Grande's public announcement of her separation from then-husband Dalton Gomez, marking a pivotal moment in both their personal lives and public perception.

"While Ethan has mostly kept his relationship with Lilly private, he did tweet congratulations for her after she completed work towards a psychology degree. 'After nearly 5 years of hard work, hundreds of hours researching and writing over 200 pages worth of paradigm-shifting thought in the field of psychology, my wife finally defended her dissertation. I am so proud of her, and cannot wait to introduce her at parties as kiddo,' he wrote.
