Lily Allen and Jack Whitehall are stepping into the world of classic literature with their upcoming drama 'Night and Day,' based on the novel by Virginia Woolf. The film is set to premiere this summer at SXSW London.
About 'Night and Day'
The story, adapted from Woolf's 1919 novel, follows a female astronomer played by Haley Bennett as she pushes back against the rigid, male-dominated society of early 20th-century Britain. Allen takes on the role of Mary Datchet, while Whitehall plays William Rodney. The cast also features Jennifer Saunders, Timothy Spall, and Sally Phillips.
The film will open the Screen section of SXSW London, a UK edition of the well-known American festival South by Southwest, taking place in Shoreditch from 1st June to 6th June. Alongside film screenings, the event will also feature talks, workshops, and live performances spanning music, cinema, and technology.
