Lindsay Lohan is “Very Hurt And Disappointed” Over a ‘Mean Girls’ Joke

Lindsay Lohan isn't too thrilled about a particular line in the latest 'Mean Girls' musical, suggesting a throwback to a crude comment that stirred the media circus nearly two decades ago.

In a scene from the recent Paramount release, which claimed the top spot at the box office over the weekend, Megan Thee Stallion makes an appearance as herself, extending support to Cady Heron (played by Angourie Rice) with the words, "Y2K fire crotch is back."

This phrase harks back to a 2006 TMZ video where Brandon Davis, of oil empire descent, made derogatory remarks about Lohan, including dubbing her a "fire crotch." Lindsay's spokesperson expressed her disappointment, stating, "Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film."

Meanwhile, Tina Fey, reprising her role as Ms. Norbury, shed light on roping in Lohan for a cameo in the movie. "Paramount was like, ‘Can you get any of the original ladies? And I was like, ‘I can’t fit five people in.’ I felt like if I could only get one person as a surprise, the original movie is really Lindsay’s movie,” shared Fey. “As great as they all are, she’s the heart of that movie.”

She further explained her thought process in choosing Lohan's role, saying, “And I thought, well, what could she do? I didn’t think [she should] play a teacher. I was trying to think of something that you wouldn’t expect. And just to have her do that late in the movie, it also feels like it comes, I hope, at a time when fans weren’t expecting one more little surprise. It also lets her be smart, which Cady is.”

While critics have labelled the new 'Mean Girls' instalment as a "lively musical update," reviews have been mixed overall.
