Luke Hemmings Credits Kelly Clarkson’s ‘American Idol’ Win For His Marriage

During an engaging conversation on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ the 5 Seconds of Summer vocalist shared a heartwarming tale about how Kelly Clarkson’s journey on ‘American Idol’ indirectly led to his marriage with singer Sierra Deaton.

Hemmings expressed his gratitude to Clarkson, revealing that their paths might not have crossed if not for her pivotal win on American Idol’s inaugural season.

He explained that Deaton, inspired by Clarkson’s success, decided to audition for ‘X-Factor,’ eventually winning the competition. This victory led her to Los Angeles, coincidentally at the same time as Hemmings, where they serendipitously met.

Clarkson, surprised by the impact of her career on Hemmings and Deaton’s love story, humorously acknowledged her unwitting role and jokingly accepted credit. Hemmings, appreciative and playful, mentioned the possibility of naming their future children after Clarkson, to which she warmly responded.

Deaton also shared her excitement about their engagement on social media, expressing joy at the prospect of spending forever with Hemmings. Their relationship milestones, from meeting to engagement, have been cherished moments they’ve shared publicly, including Hemmings casually confirming their marriage during a lively discussion at Billboard’s Golden Globes afterparty.
