Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 65-year-old pop queen shared snippets from the 2024 Oscars soirée, focusing on her rendezvous with the 47-year-old ‘Oppenheimer’ actor. In the snapshots, Murphy is seen beaming in a sharp tuxedo beside Madonna, who exudes elegance in a fur stole, a beaded corset, a blonde wig, and stylish white lace gloves. Madonna even holds up a sign that humorously reads, “Leave me alone I’m tired!!”

“Oscar Party was FUN! 🎉🎉 Not exactly A night off for a. Girl that I needs a night off but I’m so happy I got to meet my favourite A.C.T.O.R! #cillianmurphy – Congratulations! 🌟,” Madonna captioned the post, expressing her joy at meeting her favourite actor.

Murphy’s remarkable performance as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the mastermind behind the atomic bomb, in Christopher Nolan’s biopic earned him his maiden Academy Award for ‘Best Actor.’

During his acceptance speech, Murphy expressed his gratitude to Nolan, the Academy and everyone involved in ‘Oppenheimer.’ He confessed to feeling “a little overwhelmed” by the honour, acknowledging the incredible journey of the past two decades.

“It’s been the wildest, most exhilarating, most creatively satisfying journey you’ve taken me on over the last 20 years. I owe you more than I can say,” he said, extending his thanks to the cast and crew of ‘Oppenheimer’ and his fellow nominees.
