Madonna Makes Surprise Appearance at ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Premiere

The premiere of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was nothing short of a star-studded spectacle. While the film’s stars and crew already had everyone buzzing with excitement, the event became even more dazzling with a rare appearance by Madonna. The legendary singer attended the event with her 11-year-old twins, Estere and Stella.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is the only Marvel movie releasing this year, bringing back two iconic mutants to the big screen. This highly anticipated film boasts numerous cameos, and its premiere attracted a host of celebrities, heightening the fans’ eagerness to watch the film as soon as possible.

Blake Lively, wife of leading actor Ryan Reynolds, was seen at the event accompanied by her long-time friend Gigi Hadid. However, the highlight was undoubtedly Madonna’s appearance. The Grammy-winning pop icon arrived in New York for the grand night, dressed in a stunning short black blazer dress, matching ankle boots, and stylish black sunglasses.

Madonna was seen mingling and clicking pictures with the film’s leading stars, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who portray Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively. She also shared moments with the film’s director, Shawn Levy. Her presence on the red carpet was particularly notable as her classic 1989 hit, ‘Like a Prayer,’ is featured in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie.

During a SiriusXM interview with Andy Cohen on July 19, Levy and Reynolds discussed how they secured the iconic track for the film. Levy revealed that it involved a personal visit to Madonna. Reynolds added that using the track was a significant moment, recalling Madonna’s enthusiastic response after watching the scene: “You need to do this.”

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is set to be released in theatres on July 26, 2024.
