Mark Wahlberg Describes Onscreen Romance With Halle Berry as “Every Guy’s Fantasy”

In an interview, Mark Wahlberg discussed his upcoming onscreen romance with Halle Berry in their new movie, ‘The Union.’ Wahlberg, known for his candid interviews, shared his excitement about working with Berry, saying, “Halle and I have known each other for such a long time, and this movie is going to be so great because it’s every guy’s fantasy to think they have a shot with Halle Berry.”

‘The Union’ is set to premiere on a streaming platform, following the story of a construction worker from New Jersey who gets roped into a high-stakes US intelligence mission by his high school sweetheart, played by Berry.

Wahlberg elaborated on the dynamic between their characters, revealing that they were childhood sweethearts who reunited after 25 years. “He basically waited 25 years for her to come back into his life, and when it happens, there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do to prove himself to her if he got a second chance,” Wahlberg explained.

Despite the romantic plot, Wahlberg admitted that acting in such scenes can feel a bit strange, especially since he has been happily married to his wife, Rhea Durham, since 2009. “I think it’s a little weird anyway when you’re portraying some sort of romance on screen; it’s not normal, but my wife knows that she is my everything,” Wahlberg said, emphasising his love and commitment to Durham.

Recently, Durham celebrated her 46th birthday with Wahlberg and their four children: Ella, Michael, Brendan, and Grace. Durham shared photos from the celebration on social media, expressing her gratitude and joy. Wahlberg also posted a heartfelt birthday message for his wife on Instagram, showcasing their strong family bond.

Meanwhile, Halle Berry has been in a relationship with musician Van Hunt since 2020, often referring to him as the “love of [her] life.” Berry’s personal life remains as vibrant and fulfilling as her professional endeavours, adding another layer of depth to her portrayal in ‘The Union.’
