According to reports, Miles Teller and Andrew Garfield are being considered by Martin Scorsese for parts in his next Jesus Christ movie. Variety reports that Scorsese intends to privately finance ‘A Life Of Jesus,’ adopting a strategy akin to his 2016 movie ‘Silence,’ which also starred Garfield.
Teller has also been connected to the project, and Garfield is supposedly being considered for the lead role or possibly as one of the disciples. It’s still unclear, though, if they will play different roles or compete for the lead role.

Unlike other Bible adaptations, this movie is based on a fictional story called ‘A Life of Jesus’ by Shūsaku Endō from 1973. Scorsese suggested that the plot will take a different and thought-provoking approach rather than adhering to a traditional narrative.
When asked about the direction of the movie at the Berlin Film Festival, Scorsese said he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do, but he still wanted to make something interesting. He thought back to his childhood and his Catholic upbringing, which shaped his curiosity for spirituality and religious subjects.
Apart from this project, Scorsese is also planning to film a Frank Sinatra biopic, in which Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly going to play the protagonist. According to reports, Jennifer Lawrence is being considered for the part of actress Ava Gardner, Frank Sinatra’s second wife.
