‘MaXXXine’ Trailer: Watch Mia Goth, Kevin Bacon Collide in a Killer Thriller

In the highly anticipated third instalment of Ti West’s chilling horror trilogy, Mia Goth reprises her role as the enigmatic Maxine, a former adult film star with a deadly past. The trailer for ‘MaXXXine’ unveils a gripping narrative set in 1985, where Maxine’s aspirations have taken her from the secluded barns of amateur pornography to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s movie industry.

Maxine’s big break comes with a starring role in The Puritan II, directed by Elizabeth Bender, and portrayed by Elizabeth Debecki. However, her dreams of fame are quickly overshadowed by looming threats.

A serial killer known as the Night Stalker terrorises Los Angeles, claiming victims linked to Maxine. This connection draws the attention of two determined detectives, portrayed by Michelle Monaghan and Bobby Cannavale, raising questions about Maxine’s dark secrets.

Adding to the intrigue is a mysterious private detective, played by Kevin Bacon, who delves into Maxine’s past under the orders of a powerful figure, possibly her father, a prominent televangelist played by Simon Prast. The detective’s ominous warning suggests that Maxine’s past holds haunting secrets that refuse to stay buried.

The trailer tantalises with glimpses of the iconic ‘Bates Motel’ set, a nod to Maxine’s journey as a horror film star. Alongside Mia Goth’s compelling performance, the film features a stellar supporting cast including Moses Sumney, Halsey, Lily Collins, and Giancarlo Esposito, adding layers of intrigue and suspense to Maxine’s tumultuous journey.
