Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Single ‘Hiss’

Houston’s own Megan Thee Stallion is set to grace our ears once again with a fresh tune titled ‘Hiss.’ The rapper took to social media to unveil the official cover artwork and the much-anticipated release date for the single, which is due to drop on 26th January.

In her reveal, Megan added a touch of whimsy, incorporating an egg and a dragon emoji, setting the tone for what promises to be an intriguing musical journey. ‘Hiss’ follows Megan’s previous solo release, ‘Cobra,’ from last November, maintaining the serpent theme that seems to be weaving through her recent musical offerings. This track marks her second release under the banner of her independent music label, Hot Girl Productions.

Having severed ties with 1501 Certified Entertainment in October amid a legal dispute, Megan embarked on a new chapter, culminating in a record deal with Warner Music Group last month. This move empowers Megan to take full control, as she declared during an Instagram Live broadcast in October, emphasizing that her next musical endeavours would be entirely self-funded.

Megan’s 2022 album, ‘Traumazine,’ marked a significant milestone in her career. In an October Instagram Live session, she revealed her excitement for the upcoming album, expressing that it would be a testament to her artistic vision and financial independence. With no label constraints, Megan is free to create music that resonates deeply with her, a sentiment she emphasized in an interview with Complex last September.
