Megan Thee Stallion Faces Harassment Allegations From Former Photographer

Renowned rapper Megan Thee Stallion, finds herself entangled in a legal battle as former photographer Emilio Garcia accuses her of harassment and fostering a hostile work environment. The allegations surfaced when Garcia filed a lawsuit against the rapper, as reported by NBC News on 23rd April.

Garcia recounts an incident purportedly occurring in June 2022 in Ibiza, Spain, where he claims he found himself confined within a moving vehicle alongside Pete and three other women. Allegedly, Pete engaged in sexual activity with one of the women, leaving Garcia feeling uncomfortable and stunned. Speaking to NBC News, Garcia expressed his discomfort, describing his shock at the brazenness of the act transpiring beside him. The lawsuit further details Garcia’s allegations of differential treatment by Pete, characterizing her actions as severe harassment, resulting in a hostile and abusive work atmosphere that made his job intolerable.

During the same trip, Garcia claims Megan directed derogatory remarks towards him, including calling him a “fat b*tch” and admonishing him about his eating habits. The insults, particularly from someone promoting body positivity, deeply wounded Garcia, leading to emotional distress and a sense of degradation.

Garcia’s legal action extends beyond emotional harm, alleging financial losses due to unpaid wages, denied overtime pay and breaks and a lack of essential insurance coverage. He asserts that Megan’s conduct not only caused emotional distress but also physical injuries and sickness.

Ron Zambrano, Garcia’s attorney, stated to NBC News demanding accountability from Megan, urging her to rectify her behaviour and cease such forms of harassment. The lawsuit seeks compensation exceeding six figures for unpaid wages, interest, penalties under Californian labour laws, punitive damages and incurred costs.

The legal dispute underscores the significance of workplace conduct and the repercussions of alleged harassment.
