Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Romantic Night Out in Austin

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seize a romantic evening before Meghan’s appearance at the SXSW Conference by dining at Soho House Austin in Texas. The couple, who travelled from their Montecito home in California, chose the private members’ club for their dinner, where Meghan, 42, is set to participate in the Opening Day Keynote Panel on International Women’s Day.

The pair opted for a corner table at the lively venue, soaking in the upbeat atmosphere. An onlooker shared with PEOPLE, “They were happy and in great spirits. Harry was very animated throughout the dinner. They were super low-key and seemed happy to be around the upbeat vibes at the lively venue.”

Soho House holds sentimental value for Meghan and Harry, as it was the location of their first date in July 2016 at the SoHo House in London. In his memoir Spare, Harry fondly recounted the moment, describing Meghan’s arrival in a black sweater, jeans, and heels. The couple set another date at Soho House during a FaceTime call later that evening.

Meghan is scheduled to participate in a panel titled “Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen” alongside Katie Couric, Brooke Shields, and Nancy Wang Yuen. The discussion will be moderated by Errin Haines, host of The Amendment podcast and editor-at-large for The 19th News.
