Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Set to Celebrate Prince Archie’s Birthday

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s eldest child, Prince Archie, turned five on 6th May. The family is marking the occasion privately ahead of their scheduled travel plans. Prince Harry is set to visit the U.K. for the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the Invictus Games, while Meghan will join him later in the week for a trip to Nigeria, focusing on the sporting competition for veterans and service personnel.

Archie’s birthday coincides with the first anniversary of his grandfather King Charles’ coronation. Last year, Prince Harry attended the event in the U.K. before flying back to California for Archie’s birthday celebration. Meghan remained in the U.S. with their children, Archie and Princess Lilibet, who is now two years old.

Previous birthday celebrations for Archie have been described as “low-key” affairs at the family’s home, often including close friends and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland. Archie shares a close bond with his younger sister, Lilibet, and their family moments have been documented through shared videos and photos, including charity initiatives like the #SaveWithStories campaign during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the family typically keeps Archie’s celebrations private, occasional glimpses have been shared with the public, such as through the Netflix documentary ‘Harry & Meghan’ and through photos posted on the Archewell Foundation website. Despite their royal status, Meghan and Harry often use these occasions to raise awareness for charitable causes, like COVID-19 vaccine equity.
