Mia Goth is looking forward to making her mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with a role in the upcoming ‘Blade’ movie. Goth, who is 30, shared her excitement about the project while walking the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theatre. In a chat with ET’s Ash Crossan, she expressed her optimism for Marvel Studios’ ‘Blade,’ despite the delays it has faced.
“They want to make a great movie. That’s the sense that I get from them and that feels good,” she told Deadline, highlighting her confidence in the studio’s commitment to quality. Goth is set to debut in the MCU as Lilith, a key supernatural villain from the comics known for attempting to take blood from Blade’s daughter.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight if she remains hopeful about the movie’s prospects, Goth responded, “Yeah, I am. Very much so.”
The production of Marvel’s ‘Blade,’ which stars Mahershala Ali as the vampire hunter alongside Goth as Lilith, has encountered several setbacks. Initially slated for a 2022 start, the project has been delayed multiple times and is now aiming for a November 2025 release. The 2023 Writers Guild of America strike further disrupted pre-production, and the film has seen two directors, Bassam Tariq and Yann Demange, depart from the project.
During these delays, Goth has been busy with her work on the X trilogy by Ti West, starring in ‘X,’ its prequel Pearl, and the latest instalment, ‘MaXXXine.’ In ‘MaXXXine,’ she plays Maxine Minx, an ambitious actress navigating gritty 1980s Los Angeles. Goth noted the peculiar parallels between her career and that of her character.
“In a very strange way. When we started filming this trilogy four years ago, I was in a very different place in my life, and from the moment I read X for the first time I connected with her,” Goth shared in her interview with ET. “We’ve been on a similar trajectory and I think it’s just helped inform the work.”
