Miley Cyrus Publicly Performs 'Flowers' For The First Time at 2024 Grammys

Miley Cyrus brought her chart-topping hit 'Flowers' to life on the grand stage of the 66th Grammy Awards with its debut televised performance. The excitement was palpable as Cyrus took the stage to deliver a stunning rendition of the song, just moments after clinching the coveted 'Best Solo Pop Performance' award for the same track.

In a candid pre-performance video, Cyrus shared her genuine enthusiasm for the moment, revealing that she had only performed 'Flowers' live twice before. With her trademark wit, she quipped, "Why I’m performing at the Grammys: so I can lay in bed on 5th February and watch a video of myself performing at the Grammys; that is actually the most honest answer I can give you."

As the crowd eagerly joined in during the first chorus of 'Flowers', Cyrus playfully teased, "Why are you acting like you don’t know this song?" The atmosphere brimmed with joy and celebration, especially as Cyrus reached the song's emotional bridge, where she jubilantly exclaimed, "Started to cry but then I remembered I just won my first Grammy!"

The night was undoubtedly a triumph for Cyrus, who not only delivered a stellar performance but also secured her inaugural Grammy award for 'Flowers'. The honour was bestowed upon her by none other than the iconic Mariah Carey. Graciously accepting her award, Cyrus recounted a nail-biting moment in traffic, fearing she might miss her chance, but reassuringly stating, "But not Mariah Carey."
