Millie Bobby Brown’s Accent is Evolving and Fans Are Weirded Out

‘Stranger Things’ aficionados found themselves scratching their heads over Millie Bobby Brown’s accent, which seemed to fluctuate during her recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.’

Accompanied by her adorable dog Winnie, Brown’s accent seemed to toggle between British and American, or perhaps even a blend of both, leaving viewers perplexed. The young actress relocated to Florida with her family at the age of eight, yet her British accent has remained a prominent feature throughout most of her career.

However, during the latest interview promoting her upcoming film Damsel, Brown’s accent seemed to have undergone a noticeable transformation.

“Since when did Millie Bobby Brown lose her British accent… HELLO??” one fan queried, while another expressed surprise: “Millie Bobby Brown developing an American accent was not on my bingo cards for 2024.”

The alteration in her accent could potentially be attributed to her current involvement in filming the final season of ‘Stranger Things.’

Brown’s new movie ‘Damsel’ is set to premiere on Netflix on 8th March. Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and penned by Dan Mazeau, the film follows Brown’s character, a “Damsel”, who finds herself marrying a “handsome prince” in what initially appears to be a fairytale beginning. However, her character soon uncovers the grim reality of being sacrificed and must confront a dragon to secure her survival.
