My Chemical Romance performed ‘The Black Parade’ in full for the first time since 2007 – check out fan-shot footage below. Headlining the ‘When We Were Young’ festival on 19th October, the band played their iconic 2006 album from start to finish live for the first time in 17 years. They began with ‘The End’ and ‘Dead!’, marking their first live performances since 2007 and 2011, respectively. Additionally, they played ‘The Sharpest Lives’ for the first time since 2008 and ‘Disenchanted’ for the first time since 2007.
Singer-songwriter Kayleigh Goldsworthy joined My Chemical Romance for performances of ‘Cancer’ and ‘Mama’, both featuring a new violin arrangement. Additionally, tracks like ‘I Don’t Love You’ and ‘Famous Last Words’ were given fresh intros.
After finishing their full performance of ‘The Black Parade,’ My Chemical Romance surprised the audience with two encore songs: ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’ and ‘Helena’.

Earlier this year, My Chemical Romance dashed hopes of a reunion album following a series of odd posts on their Facebook page. Speculation grew as the band shared several bizarre updates, leaving fans wondering whether a genuine reunion was in the works or if their account had been hacked.
Writing on Instagram, they said: “Our Facebook got hacked,” warning fans: “Don’t believe everything you read!”
The emo legends concluded their extensive reunion tour in March last year, which began with their first show together in December 2019. After being delayed by COVID, their world tour kicked off with two performances at The Eden Project in Cornwall in 2022.

Their latest release was 2022’s surprise single, ‘The Foundations of Decay,’ marking their first new material in eight years since their last album, 2010’s ‘Danger Days.’
