New ‘Wallace & Gromit’ Movie Announces Christmas Premiere, Title And Teaser

The dastardly penguin supervillain Feathers McGraw is set to follow in the stop-motion footsteps of fellow animation antagonist Mrs Tweedy, making a grand return to screens in the latest ‘Wallace and Gromit’ feature. While Mrs Tweedy, the arch-nemesis from Aardman’s 2000 hit ‘Chicken Run’, returned for last year’s sequel ‘Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget’, McGraw is making a comeback nearly 40 years after his appearance in the 1993 Oscar-winning short ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers’.

The new film, titled ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’, promises to bring back the beloved villain in a thrilling new adventure.

Details of the upcoming Aardman film, which was first announced in 2022, have now been revealed along with a teaser showcasing McGraw in all his nefarious glory. ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ is scheduled to premiere this Christmas on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and it will be available globally on Netflix, ensuring fans around the world can join in on the excitement.

Nick Park, the director and creator of ‘Wallace and Gromit’, shared his inspiration for the new film. “I’d had the idea of a film about garden gnomes turning bad for more than a decade, but I could never work out what made them bad,” Park explained. “It occurred to me that the single most asked question I get when I meet fans is, will the penguin Feathers McGraw, Wallace and Gromit’s original antagonist from ‘The Wrong Trousers,’ ever return? We’ve had fun bringing him back in cameo capacities, but now, three decades on, it felt like the right time. Then it hit me: “What if Feathers was involved with these gnomes?”

Park expressed his excitement about reintroducing Feathers McGraw to the audience in a substantial role. He hopes the new film will appeal to fans of ‘Gnome Noir’ and satisfy those curious about what the infamous penguin has been up to since ‘The Wrong Trousers.’

The anticipation for ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ is building, especially with the return of such a memorable villain. Feathers McGraw’s involvement with the rogue gnomes is set to provide a blend of nostalgia and fresh excitement, as fans eagerly await to see how the story unfolds. With Nick Park’s creative vision and the beloved characters of Wallace and Gromit at the helm, the film is expected to deliver the charm and wit that Aardman is known for.
