Nicki Minaj Claps Back at Megan Thee Stallion Feud With 'Big Foot' Release

Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion, appeared to engage in subtle jabs at each other, sparking speculation of a feud. The catalyst was Megan's release of her latest single ‘Hiss’, which prompted immediate attention from fans who noted potential shade directed towards Nicki. 

In the opening lines of the track, Megan references ‘Megan's Law’, legislation established in the United States aimed at publicising information about registered s*x offenders.

The lyrical content ignited online speculation, with many interpreting Megan's reference as a veiled commentary on Nicki's husband, Kenneth Petty, who has a history as a registered s*x offender. Petty's legal troubles include a conviction for first-degree attempted rape and a subsequent guilty plea for failure to register as a sex offender in California. 

Responding swiftly to the perceived slight, Nicki took to Instagram Live on the same day, sharing a snippet of an unreleased track in what appeared to be a direct response to the controversy.

In a subsequent development, the mother-of-one appeared to cast a shadow on Megan's rap delivery style. "You have three Grammys and you have to learn how to rap on the beat and be comfortable in the music," Nicki remarked, shortly before mimicking Megan's rap technique. 

It's worth noting that the ‘Body’ musician boasts precisely three Grammy wins, along with a commendable six nominations to her name. Conversely, Nicki, despite amassing an impressive tally of 12 Grammy nominations, has yet to clinch an award from the prestigious institution.
