Despite being nominated for two awards at the 66th annual Grammy Awards, Nicki Minaj, the reigning queen of rap, opted not to attend the music industry's biggest night. Fans eagerly anticipated her presence on the red carpet and during the ceremony, but it seems they'll have to wait until the 2025 awards, where her latest album ‘Pink Friday 2,’ released on 8th December 2023, will be eligible for recognition.
This year, Minaj received nominations for ‘Barbie World,’ featuring Ice Spice from the 'Barbie' movie soundtrack, in the categories of 'Best Song Written For Visual Media' and 'Best Rap Song.' Unfortunately, she did not win in either category.

The Recording Academy briefly added to the mix-up by incorrectly tweeting that ‘Barbie World’ had won 'Best Rap Song,' when the actual winner was ‘Scientists & Engineers’ by Killer Mike featuring André 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane.
Before this year, Minaj's last Grammy nomination was in 2016, and fans had hoped for her return. However, she hasn't attended the show since 2015. Despite accumulating 12 Grammy nominations since 2011, Nicki Minaj has yet to secure a win, making her one of the most nominated artists without a Grammy victory.
