Normani Addresses Fifth Harmony Reunion Rumours, Hints at Possibility

After Ally Brooke hinted at a potential reunion for the ‘Work from Home’ group last year, Normani has addressed the rumours in a new interview with Billboard. She stated, “I don’t know. Not to my knowledge,” but added, “I definitely see that being a possibility in the future. That would be a special moment for sure.”

Brooke sparked these rumours during an interview where she suggested that the group—composed of Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, Normani, and herself—”may be working on something” that could arrive “sooner than we’d think.”

Following the speculation among fans of the ‘Worth It’ act, Brooke later clarified her comments in a social media post. She expressed her excitement about the interest in Fifth Harmony, writing, “Reunion has many meanings and while there’s no official band reunion happening at the moment, some beautiful friendships and relationships are slowly reuniting in a healing and empowering way.”

Normani shared her perspective on her artistic journey post-Fifth Harmony, reflecting on the creative constraints she faced while in the group. “I was in a girl group, and we weren’t able to be creative until literally the last album,” she explained. “So I promised myself that if I had the opportunity to do things my way, I would take it seriously and not take it for granted. I want to put out music that truly represents me, that I’m proud of and can wholeheartedly champion.”

She also discussed the personal and cultural significance of her solo work. “The day ‘Motivation’ came out, I struggled with wanting to honour the fanbase I came from while also representing myself as a Black woman and an entire community,” Normani revealed. “I had to remind myself that I’m Normani before everything else.”

Normani’s reflections highlight her dedication to her individuality and authenticity as an artist. While a Fifth Harmony reunion isn’t happening just yet, her comments suggest that the possibility remains open in the future, much to the excitement of their fans.
