Ozzy Osbourne has teamed up with canned water brand Liquid Death for a bizarre yet headline-making release: a collection of iced tea cans containing his DNA. The limited-edition collaboration, titled ‘Infinite Ozzy’, includes ten empty cans that Osbourne is said to have drunk from, each one later resealed in a lab. Every can has also been autographed by the heavy metal icon and will be sold for $450 (£335) apiece.
The concept behind the release, as shared by Liquid Death’s team, is rooted in the idea that future advancements in technology and changes in law could make it possible for fans to clone Osbourne, keeping his presence alive for centuries.
Ozzy’s Past Promo and the Rise of Bizarre Celebrity Merch
This is not Osbourne’s first collaboration with the brand. He previously featured in a promotional video for Liquid Death’s ‘Death Dust’, an electrolyte drink mix. In the ad, he was shown advising a group of kids not to misuse the powder in various outrageous ways—just before being cut off while explaining one particularly inappropriate term.
Although it’s an unconventional addition to music memorabilia, it follows a recent trend of eccentric celebrity products. Actor Sydney Sweeney, for instance, recently made waves for selling soap bars infused with her bathwater—an item that sold out in seconds.
The DNA-infused cans are set to go on sale ahead of Black Sabbath’s much-anticipated farewell concert, ‘Back To The Beginning’, taking place at Villa Park in Birmingham on 5th July. The show will reunite Osbourne with guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward for the first time in two decades.

The massive event features a star-studded lineup, including Tool, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Gojira, Anthrax, Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Guns N’ Roses, KoRn, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and the surviving members of Soundgarden.
Earlier this year, Osbourne revealed that Parkinson’s disease had left him unable to walk. However, his wife Sharon clarified that the condition had not impacted his singing voice. She said he was eager to express his gratitude to fans and was emotionally invested in being part of this final Sabbath performance—something he had been looking forward to for a long time.
