Pamela Anderson is returning to one of her most iconic roles, this time from behind the camera. The actress and model, now 58, is joining forces with her sons Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee to produce a television reboot of 'Barb Wire,' the 1996 cult classic film that cemented her place in pop culture.
The new adaptation marks the first major project from the family's production banner, And-Her-Sons Productions. They are collaborating with Universal Content Productions and Dark Horse Entertainment to bring the action-packed character back to screens.
Pamela Anderson shares Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27, with ex-husband Tommy Lee. Both sons have appeared alongside their mother in 'Pamela's Garden of Eden,' and 'Pamela's Cooking with Love.' Brandon has also stepped into the spotlight as a producer, working on the Netflix documentary 'Pamela: A Love Story' and the 2024 hit film 'The Last Showgirl,' both featuring his mother.

What is 'Barb Wire' About?
Originally based on a Dark Horse Comics character introduced in 1993, 'Barb Wire' told the story of Barbara "Barb Wire" Kopetski, a nightclub owner and bounty hunter in a dystopian future city. The 1996 film starred Pamela Anderson in the lead role alongside Temuera Morrison, Victoria Rowell, and others. While the movie initially received mixed reviews, it went on to gain cult status over the years. A new collected edition, 'The Barb Wire Compendium,' is scheduled for release in February 2026, adding to the character's legacy.
The upcoming television version will reintroduce the bounty hunter heroine with a fresh cast, though the lead actress has yet to be announced. It also remains unclear when and where the story will be set, as the original film took place during a fictional second American Civil War.

Pop culture references to 'Barb Wire' continue to surface decades later. In 2024, Beyoncé paid homage to Pamela Anderson's leather-clad character in visuals for her Cowboy Carter era.
Beyond producing, Anderson is also keeping busy on screen. She recently starred in the reboot of 'The Naked Gun' alongside Liam Neeson and appeared on stage in Camino Real at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Her upcoming film slate includes 'Place to Be' by Kornél Mundruczó, 'Rosebush Pruning' by Karim Aïnouz, and Sally Potter's 'Alma.'
With Pamela Anderson and her sons joining creative forces, the 'Barb Wire' TV reboot promises to give the antihero a modern revival while expanding the family’s growing impact in film and television production.
