Pax Jolie-Pitt Released From ICU: Long Road to Recovery Ahead
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son Pax is recovering after being hospitalized following an e-bike accident in Los Angeles. A source exclusively tells PEOPLE that Pax, 20, has been released from the ICU days after the incident. “Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy,” says the source.
The source adds that Pax and his mother, who stayed by his side throughout his hospital stay, are deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving actions of first responders and the exceptional medical care he received. Jolie, 49, remains with her son, and his siblings have also been visiting and helping out, the insider shares. “They are all very close.”

Pax was hospitalized after the accident on Monday, July 29. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources said Pax was not wearing a helmet while riding an e-bike in a heavy-traffic area on Los Feliz Boulevard when the accident occurred. He reportedly sustained a head injury and hip pain.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that a severe traffic collision report was completed after a man in his early 20s was involved in an accident reported later in July. Jolie and Pitt share five other children: Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
