Pearl Jam Releases Electrifying New Rock Anthem, ‘Running’– Listen Now!

Pearl Jam is back with a vengeance. ‘Running’, the second single from their upcoming album ‘Dark Matter,’ showcases the band’s enduring ability to deliver electrifying rock anthems. Available now on streaming services, ‘Running’ is a potent reminder that Pearl Jam remains a force to be reckoned with, even after three decades in the music industry.

The song is a masterclass in collaboration. Eddie Vedder’s iconic vocals soar over the instrumental tapestry woven by guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard.  Matt Cameron’s pounding drums and Jeff Ament’s driving bass line create a propulsive energy that perfectly complements the song’s frenetic pace.

Lyrically, ‘Running’ evokes a sense of urgency and relentless forward motion. Vedder sings of being ‘lost in the tunnel’ and ‘getting funnelled’, metaphors that suggest a determined escape from a difficult situation. The line ‘running till the second coming’ underscores the band’s unwavering commitment to their artistry and their refusal to slow down.

The success of the album’s lead single, ‘Dark Matter’, speaks volumes. The track shot straight to No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart, marking the band’s first chart-topping single since 1998. ‘Dark Matter’ also dominated the Rock & Alternative Airplay Chart, further solidifying Pearl Jam’s position as rock royalty.

To celebrate the release of Dark Matter, Pearl Jam will embark on a global tour, marking the first time they’ve announced an album and tour simultaneously. This unprecedented move signifies their commitment to connecting with fans on a live level, making all tour dates readily available from the get-go.
