Adding to the buzz, Pixar also announced a new spin-off series for ‘Inside Out,’ titled Dream Productions. Additionally, they shared that the highly anticipated ‘Toy Story 5’ will hit cinemas in 2026.

On the spin-off front, Dream Productions will be Pixar’s first-ever series and is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025. The series will be set between the events of the first and second Inside Out films, diving into the inner workings of Riley’s mind where her dreams are literally brought to life.
“This is our first original series, and we wanted to do something unique and bold, unlike anything we’ve done before,” said Pixar veteran Pete Docter during the showcase.
This announcement comes on the heels of ‘Inside Out’ 2’s recent cinema release, which has quickly become the highest-grossing film of 2024, as well as Pixar’s highest-grossing film ever. It’s also the second highest-grossing animated film of all time, following the 2019 version of ‘The Lion King.’
In ‘Inside Out 2,’ viewers reconnect with Riley, now 13 years old, who finds her emotional world expanded with new emotions like Anxiety, Embarrassment, Envy, and Ennui. The film features the voices of Maya Hawke, Amy Poehler, Tony Hale, and Ayo Edebiri.
As for ‘Incredibles 2,’ released in 2018, it remains Pixar’s second most profitable film to date. The movie followed the Parr family as they juggled superhero duties with the complexities of family life while striving to restore public trust in superheroes.
