Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Hold Hands at Invictus Games Countdown

Amidst the picturesque snowy landscape of Vancouver Whistler, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a heartwarming appearance to kick off the celebrations marking one year until the commencement of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. 

Clad in their winter attire to combat the freezing temperatures, the couple was seen hand in hand as they ventured onto the snowy mountains to engage with athletes partaking in adaptive skiing activities alongside their guides.

Prince Harry, known for his fervent support of the Invictus Games, didn’t hesitate to join in the action, trying his hand at adaptive skiing with enthusiasm. Their presence on the slopes didn’t go unnoticed, as nearby skiers excitedly recognized the royal couple, with one enthusiastic teenager exclaiming, “It’s Harry and Meghan, Dad!” upon spotting them.

Over the next three days, Prince Harry and Meghan, along with athletes and officials from participating nations, will partake in the Winter Training Camp organised in preparation for the upcoming Invictus Games. This camp serves as a platform for members of the international Invictus Community to engage in winter adaptive sports, fostering camaraderie and camaraderie ahead of the main event next year.

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 marks a significant milestone as it introduces winter sports to the competition for the first time. In addition to the core Invictus sports, athletes will have the opportunity to compete in alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, Nordic skiing, skeleton and wheelchair curling, offering a new dimension to the Invictus experience.

Reflecting on this exciting development, Prince Harry expressed his enthusiasm for the evolution of the Invictus Games Foundation, announcing Canada as the proud host of the inaugural Winter Hybrid Games in 2025.
