Priscilla Presley Opens Up About Coping with Elvis Presley’s Infidelities and Unwanted Attention from Fans

Reminiscing about her time spent with Elvis Presley, Priscilla Presley mentioned how many people were drawn to him. Priscilla gave insight into the difficulties of dating a well-liked celebrity, despite the glamour of being associated with a music legend.

During ‘An Evening with Priscilla Presley’ at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Connecticut, the actress opened up about the challenges she had as Elvis’s girlfriend and wife. She related a story about how she happened to find a letter thanking her late husband for “the best time.” Priscilla was disturbed by this revelation and decided to speak with Elvis face-to-face.

“I couldn’t let it go,” she said, remembering her conversation with Elvis in Vegas when she voiced her worries to Joe Esposito, his road manager. Elvis was taken aback by Priscilla’s tenacity and upset about the interference in his private life. Still, she insisted on talking about how she felt about the circumstances.

Priscilla also revealed Elvis’s relationship with the artist Anita Woods, expressing her discomfort at discovering a large number of letters that had been exchanged between them. Even after Elvis assured her that he still had feelings for Woods, Priscilla wasn’t comfortable with how much they were communicating.

Priscilla was deeply affected by Elvis’s death in 1977 and decided not to get married again. She emphasized her dedication to their relationship even after his death by frankizing that no one could ever match Elvis.

When asked about her choice to stay single, Priscilla revealed that she had made a vow to never get married while Elvis was still alive and had kept this promise for forty years after his death. She could not imagine her life without Elvis, and she could not imagine getting married to anyone else.
