Quentin Tarantino is reportedly preparing to make his stage debut in London's West End in early 2027. The legendary director behind 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Reservoir Dogs' first hinted at this career shift back in early 2025, noting that writing a play was his current focus and would likely be his next major project.

Insiders suggest the play will be a classic British farce, reminiscent of the chaotic physical comedy seen in 'Noises Off.' Tarantino is expected to direct the production himself, with a premiere date potentially set for January 2027.

This move comes as fans eagerly await his tenth and final feature film. Quentin Tarantino has famously pledged to retire from directing movies after his tenth project, and his most recent release was 2019's 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.' He has previously mentioned that if this new play becomes a massive success, he might actually adapt it into his final movie. However, he also joked that if the play fails, he definitely won't be bringing it to the big screen.

Other Quentin Tarantino Projects on the Horizon

While he steps away from the director's chair for a moment, the world of 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' is expanding. A sequel titled 'The Adventures of Cliff Booth' is currently in the works for Netflix. Although Tarantino wrote the script, David Fincher will be taking over directing duties.

Brad Pitt is set to return as the iconic stuntman, joined by new cast members like Carla Gugino and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Tarantino explained his decision to hand over the reins by stating that he considers himself and Fincher to be two of the best directors working today. He felt that Fincher's interest in adapting his writing added a level of prestige to the project that couldn't be ignored.

Recent Shifts and Acting Roles

The road to Quentin Tarantino's tenth film has seen some changes recently. He previously scrapped 'The Movie Critic,' which many thought would be his final bow, following reports of production delays and script adjustments.

In the meantime, Tarantino is keeping busy in front of the camera. He is slated to star in the film 'Only What We Carry' alongside Simon Pegg. He also remains as outspoken as ever, recently making waves in the industry for his candid critiques of various contemporary acting styles.
