Raúl Castillo, known for his roles in ‘Army of the Dead’ and ‘Cha Cha Real Smooth’, has landed his next project. According to Deadline, Castillo will star in ‘The Auction’, a sci-fi film inspired by Agatha Christie's ‘And Then There Were None’, directed by William Atticus Parker. Set at Aztec Corp., a company that auctions rare antiques and endangered animals, Castillo will portray David Valdez, a sales representative. Ben Vereen will play Valdez's father, and K. Todd Freeman will be the head of Aztec Corp.
The cast also includes Audra McDonald, Mary-Louise Parker, and Richard King, though their roles are still under wraps. Parker, in addition to directing, will make his acting debut alongside his mother, with filming scheduled to start next month in New York. Christie's novel, a classic mystery, has been adapted numerous times, and ‘The Auction’ is the latest interpretation.
