Rebel Wilson on Why She Thinks Adele “Hates” Her: “I’ve Never Asked Her”

Rebel Wilson revealed a lot in her new memoir, ‘Rebel Rising’ and spilled the tea on various aspects of her life, including her encounters with Adele and Sacha Baron Cohen.

In a recent update, Wilson opened up about some not-so-rosy memories involving Adele. Despite both women being admired for their beauty and vibrant personalities, Wilson recalled a less-than-friendly moment with the acclaimed singer.

In an excerpt reported by US Weekly, Wilson reflected on occasions when people would confuse her with Adele, particularly during a period when the singer was larger. “Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say. This is why, I think, Adele hates me,” Wilson wrote candidly.

Wilson admitted that she’s never directly addressed the issue with Adele but shared her observations about their encounters. According to Wilson, Adele would quickly retreat when they crossed paths, leading Wilson to joke that Adele seemed to fear her “fatness might rub off on her.”

The memoir isn’t just about Wilson’s experiences with Adele; it delves into her interactions with other Hollywood figures, including Sacha Baron Cohen. Wilson didn’t hold back, describing the ‘Borat’ actor as a “massive a-hole” and revealing her apprehension about working with him due to a previous unpleasant experience on the set of ‘The Brothers Grimsby.’

‘Rebel Rising’ is set to hit bookshelves on 2nd April 2 2024.
