The ‘Dance of the Dragons’ is finally set into motion after Rhaenyra and Alicent’s confrontation in the latest episode. Violence is imminent, and there’s no turning back! A crucial scene that ties the current timeline to the future of House Targaryen involves Rhaenyra sending her younger children to Pentos with Rhaena and the dragon eggs.
One significant character mentioned, hinting at the show’s future, is the dragon Stormcloud. Stormcloud played a vital role in the Targaryen civil war, especially in the Battle of The Gullet. In the books, Rhaenyra sends her younger sons, Aegon and Viserys, to Pentos. When their ship is attacked, Aegon flies back to Dragonstone on Stormcloud to alert team black of the assault, leaving Viserys behind, who remains missing throughout the ‘Dance of the Dragons’.

Given the show’s timeline, Aegon is too young to ride a dragon, and Stormcloud is mentioned as a small hatchling. This implies either a time jump—which seems unlikely—or Rhaena might take Aegon’s place in the Battle of The Gullet. Another significant connection between ‘House of the Dragon’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ is the dragon eggs.
Geeta Vasant Patel, the director of season 2, episode 3, confirmed that three of the four eggs Rhaenyra gave Rhaena are the same as Daenerys’ eggs from ‘Game of Thrones’.
“Those are Daenerys’ eggs. All of us who work on this show are big ‘Game of Thrones’ fans, so it was very exciting to shoot that scene,” she told Mashable. The preview for episode four indicates an impending battle. According to the books, Sir Cristin Cole led the initial and crucial Battle of Rook’s Rest, which is likely to be adapted in the next episode and may result in the death of a beloved character.
Both Team Black and Team Green have retaliated in response to the deaths of Prince Luke and Prince Jaehaerys. After Rhaenyra’s last attempt at peace was rejected by Alicent, the Black Queen is prepared to go to any lengths to reclaim her rightful throne!
