Rihanna Wears ‘I’m Retired’ T-Shirt Amid Anticipation for New Album
Rihanna is making a fashion statement while seemingly hinting at her current status! The 36-year-old ‘Lift Me Up’ singer was spotted in New York City with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. The Barbadian superstar, who has been teasing new music for a while, wore a notable outfit choice.
Her blue, short-sleeved T-shirt read “I’m retired” in large white letters, followed by “This is as dressed up as I get” in smaller red text. She completed the look with a dark blue maxi skirt, red sneakers, and a lime green purse.

The couple, parents to sons RZA, 2, and Riot, have both touched on Rihanna’s musical future this year. Her last album, ‘Anti’, came out in 2016. In February, Rocky was filmed in Paris, telling fans that Rihanna is “working on” her long-awaited R9 album.
In April, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight to promote her Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty Earth Tone sneakers, Rihanna assured fans that her new music would be worth the wait, describing her tracks as “so good.”
When asked if her sons might follow in their parents’ musical footsteps, Rihanna said, “I mean, it’s up to them.” She revealed she has several tracks she feels could be hit and mentioned the decision sometimes depends on whether she uses the song or Rocky does.
Meanwhile, Rihanna continues to expand her business empire. Recently, she announced the launch of her new haircare line. “A new family is moving in!” she wrote on social media. “@fentyhair is pullin up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for.”
