Ryan Gosling and Keanu Reeves Eye Marvel Cinematic Universe Debut in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) might be welcoming two Hollywood heavyweights, Ryan Gosling and Keanu Reeves, into its fold with an exciting proposition: portraying the iconic character Ghost Rider in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ Both actors have expressed keen interest in donning the flaming skull and leather jacket, setting the stage for a potential multiverse crossover.

With the MCU expanding its narrative horizons post-Infinity Saga, upcoming projects like ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ are poised to introduce characters from outside the traditional MCU canon. The speculation is ripe that Gosling and Reeves might embody different incarnations of Johnny Blaze alongside Nicolas Cage’s ‘Ghost Rider.’ This move not only integrates beloved actors into the MCU but also expands the Ghost Rider mythos across different dimensions and timelines.

In a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Ryan Gosling voiced his enthusiasm about joining the superhero genre, particularly within the MCU. His desire was met with encouragement from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who expressed admiration for Gosling and hinted at potential roles for him in the expansive Marvel universe.

Similarly, Keanu Reeves, known for his roles in ‘The Matrix’ and ‘John Wick’ series, revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live his childhood aspiration to portray Ghost Rider. Feige has acknowledged conversations with Reeves about his possible entry into the MCU, signalling a mutual interest in bringing the actor’s dream to fruition.

While fans await confirmation on Ghost Rider’s appearance in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, Marvel Studios remains focused on its current slate of projects. The anticipated release of ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ in 2027 suggests that the studio is strategically planning its narrative arcs and character introductions within the MCU.
