While kicking off the press tour for 'Deadpool & Wolverine' alongside his pal Hugh Jackman in Seoul, South Korea, Ryan Reynolds showcased his love for the K-pop group ‘Blackpink’ while answering fan questions.
During the appearance, Reynolds, Jackman, and director Shawn Levy were presented with traditional Korean hanboks. The moderator noted that these hanboks were designed by the same person who created Blackpink’s Coachella costumes.

This information delighted Reynolds, who exclaimed, “Love Blackpink,” before sharing that he was also a big fan of the South Korean boy band Stray Kids. Reynolds’ admiration for Stray Kids dates back to 2021 when he praised their Deadpool-inspired performance on the Korean show Kingdom: Legendary War.
In that performance, Felix, one of the band's members, dressed up as Reynolds' famous character, complete with the red mask, and greeted the audience in a style reminiscent of the film’s opening scene. The performance caught Reynolds' attention, and he showed his support on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Oh hello @stray_kids.”
Reynolds' recent appearance in South Korea marked the beginning of his press tour for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, in which he stars alongside his longtime friend Hugh Jackman. During an exclusive interview, the duo reflected on their 17-year friendship, highlighting that the “secret sauce” to their bond is “genuinely rooting” for one another “all the time.”
“I want you to win. It’s the same way I feel about Blake,” Reynolds said, mentioning his wife Blake Lively. “As I'm rooting for her, I know she's rooting for me, and it's why we're so connected.”
