The appearance of Tilly Norwood, an AI-generated actress developed by comedian Eline Van der Velden, has caused a stir in the Hollywood in the past few weeks. Presenting himself as a human performer, Norwood attracted a lot of interest and even attracted the attention of Hollywood agents. Professionals in the field were incensed when it was later discovered that she was wholly AI-generated. The use of synthetic performers was denounced by groups such as SAG-AFTRA, which claimed that it can threaten jobs in the entertainment industry and diminish human artistry.

Ryan Reynolds, who is well-known for his witty remarks and adept marketing, chose to confront the situation head-on. Reynolds presents a real Mint Mobile user named Natalie "Tilly" Norwood in a new commercial promoting the company's 5G home internet service. Reynolds asks, "You are real, right?" to which Norwood replies, "Yup," and then goes on to say, "I'm a combination of my parents," in the comedic parody of the AI controversy. 

The campaign, called "Everything about Mint Mobile seems unreal, and now, we're introducing 5G home internet for $30 a month. Yes, that's real!" The ad concludes with a voiceover stating, 
"Participation limited to verified carbon-based organisms," humorously excluding AI entities.
