Sabrina Carpenter has officially revealed that her upcoming album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ will arrive on 29th August. The project marks her seventh studio release and follows the Grammy-winning ‘Short N’ Sweet’, which cemented her global stardom after its release in 2024.
The announcement came via social media, where Carpenter shared her excitement with fans, saying she couldn’t wait for them to hear it. The album has already been teased with its lead single ‘Manchild’, which dropped on 6th June. The track sees Carpenter take aim at the emotionally immature men in her life, with the music video portraying her hitchhiking through the US at sunset, casting them aside one by one.
Speaking about the song on Instagram, she said it had the energy of a “never-ending road trip in the summer” and was meant to be blasted with the windows down all season long. She thanked fans for their ongoing support, adding a cheeky nod to the men who had “tested” her.
Alongside the album news, Carpenter unveiled the cover art, which features her kneeling in front of a white curtain, while someone stands beside her gripping her hair. Another promo image shows a dog wearing a pendant engraved with the album title.

Carpenter’s previous album, ‘Short N’ Sweet’, included hit singles such as ‘Espresso’, ‘Please Please Please’, ‘Taste’, and ‘Bed Chem’. It earned eight Grammy nominations and won Best Pop Vocal Album. A deluxe edition of the album was released in February, featuring a special appearance by Dolly Parton.
Carpenter’s Live Shows, Film Rumours And Fortnite Return
Recently, Carpenter has continued to make waves live, performing at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, where she delivered a crowd-pleasing cover of ‘It’s Raining Men’ by The Weather Girls. She is also slated to headline two nights at BST Hyde Park in early July, supported by Clairo, Beabadoobee, and Olivia Dean.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Carpenter is rumoured to be involved in ‘Mamma Mia 3’ and is expected to return to Fortnite for what’s being described as an “epic dance party” event.
