Sabrina Carpenter Performs New Song ‘Slim Pickins’ at Grammy Museum
Sabrina Carpenter took everyone by surprise on August 2 when she performed a brand-new song, ‘Slim Pickins,’ from her upcoming album ‘Short N’ Sweet’ at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater in Los Angeles. The event, which featured a moderated discussion, performance, and a special appearance by Jack Antonoff, became a highlight for fans.
Seated on a stool, Carpenter delivered a stripped-down version of the song, creating an intimate atmosphere with minimal instrumentation. “This one’s cute and I just like, wanted to sing it for you today,” she said, introducing the song. “Super random of me, so it’s called ‘Slim Pickins,’ and I hope you like it.”

In addition to her new track, Carpenter performed her viral hits ‘Espresso’ and ‘Please Please Please,’ captivating the audience with her vocals. She wore a stylish mid-length blue dress with a heart cutout, paired with nude heels and loose hair, embodying a chic yet relaxed look.
Carpenter’s sense of humour, a beloved trait among her fans, was evident during the performance. In a Rolling Stone interview, she expressed her delight at the popularity of ‘Espresso,’ noting how fans appreciated her comedic touch. “I love that people get my sense of humour,” she shared, recalling that the song was inspired by a trip to Crêperie, France.
Teen Vogue reported in June that Carpenter’s sixth studio album, ‘Short N’ Sweet,’ is set for release on August 23, followed by the Short N’ Sweet Tour.
