Sabrina Carpenter Shares Experience of First Wembley Stadium Performance: ‘Did Not Feel Real’

The day after performing at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium, Sabrina Carpenter took to Instagram to share her emotions about the milestone. 

In her heartfelt post, she expressed immense gratitude and disbelief at the experience, saying, “Brina’s first wembleyyyy thank you @capitalofficial for having us at your summertime ball. 80,000 of you singing along did not feel real :’) you’ve been so good to me UK thank you!!!!”

The post featured photos from her electrifying performance and captured moments of fans holding up signs that read “Sabrina time ball,” along with the name of her latest single, ‘Please Please Please.’ The comments section overflowed with congratulatory messages, including a playful reference to her song ‘Espresso’: “You’re working late cause you’re playing in a stadium with 80,000 people!”

During her set, Carpenter performed a mix of her popular tracks including ‘Espresso’, ‘Please Please Please’, ‘Read Your Mind’, ‘Feather / Lovefool’, ‘Because I Liked a Boy’, and ‘Nonsense’. While she hasn’t announced a world tour for her upcoming album, the experience at Wembley will undoubtedly be a memorable highlight, especially after her stint as an opening act on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

In a recent interview, Carpenter opened up about her admiration for Taylor Swift. She described Swift as belonging to “a different echelon,” saying, “I could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what she’s done. 

She always puts out music at a time when I didn’t realise I needed those songs.” Carpenter further shared that they have a mutual love and admiration for each other, revealing that Swift had played her the song ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ before its release, which became one of Carpenter’s favourites.
