During the 2024 SAG Awards, the Screen Actors Guild took a moment to honour the stars who passed away in the last year. The In Memoriam montage featured celebrities such as Matthew Perry, Tina Turner, Chita Rivera, Angus Cloud, Andre Braugher, Lance Reddick, Ron Cephas Jones, Christian Oliver and more.
Naomi Watts opened the segment with a heartfelt message for the many actors lost over the past year.

"We have said goodbye to so many extraordinary actors in the past year. Their talent touched the world, and we all share in their loss. To those of us who had the privilege of working with them, their absence is deeply felt," Watts expressed.
"While we mourn their loss, their memory will live on through the precious moments we shared together and through their work. Their performances, captured in countless frames of images, are ready to dance across the screen and come to life again, if only for a while."

The montage was accompanied by Dean Lewis's 'How Do I Say Goodbye' and featured actors like Suzanne Somers, Treat Williams, Alan Arkin, Carl Weathers, Tom Wilkinson, Harry Belafonte, Adan Canto, Billy Miller and Tyler Christopher.
"We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother," Perry’s family shared in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. "Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him, and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love."
