Sam Raimi Clears the Air on ‘Spider-Man 4’ Speculations

After much conjecture amongst Marvel fans, Sam Raimi has finally responded to the circulating talk of a fourth ‘Spider-Man’ movie starring Tobey Maguire.

Raimi addressed the rumours in a WonderCon interview with CBR, saying, “Well, I haven’t heard about that yet. Although I have read it, I haven’t started working on it yet. Given the popularity of the current Spider-Man movies, he voiced doubts about Marvel and Columbia Pictures’ plans to bring back the Spider-Man era.

Although Raimi is not currently working on any Spider-Man projects, he expressed his appreciation for the most recent Spider-Man films, especially ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and the character’s return starring Tobey Maguire.

With ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ (2022), director Sam Raimi, who previously helmed ‘Spider-Man 2’ (2004) and ‘Spider-Man 3’ (2007), triumphantly returned to the Marvel universe. Raimi is open to the idea of a fourth Spider-Man movie, despite having yet to bring it up with Maguire. He highlights his good working relationship with Marvel and Columbia Pictures.

Raimi highlighted the limitless possibilities in the Marvel universe when he indicated in an earlier interview that he would be open to working with Maguire and Kirsten Dunst once more.

Raimi’s excitement about the possibility of getting back together with Maguire comes through even without a clear plan in place, implying that anything is possible in the exciting world of Marvel.
