Scarlett Johansson & Ryan Reynolds, Kim Kardashian & Pete Davidson Reunite at SNL50

Several well-known former spouses were among the many celebrities who appeared on ‘SNL50: The Anniversary Special’.

The event brought together a star-studded guest list and marked the end of a three-day festival commemorating the long-running sketch show. Attendees included several people who have interests beyond comedy.

Before the performance, Scarlett Johansson and her spouse, Colin Jost, were spotted strolling the red carpet. Ryan Reynolds, Johansson’s ex-husband, and his wife Blake Lively posed for pictures just before. From 2008 to 2011, Johansson and Reynolds were wed. Johansson discussed her first marriage in a 2019 interview with Vanity Fair, stating that she was only 23 at the time and didn’t completely comprehend what marriage entailed. She acknowledged that when she was younger, she had a rather romanticized opinion of it.

Cosmo, Johansson and Jost’s kid was born in 2021 after they were married in 2020. James, Inez, Betty, and Olin are the four children Reynolds and Lively have together since their 2012 marriage.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were also spotted on the red carpet. After Kardashian headlined ‘Saturday Night Live’ in October 2021, the two immediately started dating the following month. According to insiders at the time, their romance ended in August 2022 because of scheduling conflicts and extensive travel.

Fred Armisen, a former cast member of ‘Saturday Night Live’, and actress Natasha Lyonne, his ex-girlfriend, were both present, each bringing their current spouses. Lyonne declared their breakup in 2022 after the two were originally connected in 2014. Later, when discussing their split, Armisen said that they were still friendly and that the experience gave him a fresh outlook on interpersonal relationships. Lyonne was accompanied by her partner, producer Bryn Mooser, while he was there with his wife, actress Riki Lindhome.

Lake Bell and Chris Rock were also seen at the event. In his 2023 special, Rock clarified that he had been single for a while, even though the two had fueled dating rumours in 2022.

‘SNL50: The Anniversary Special’, which brought together decades of talent and rekindled some unexpected reunions, was broadcast live on NBC and Peacock.
