Sean Diddy Apologises For Behaviour in Video Assaulting Ex Cassie

Diddy has issued an apology for his “inexcusable” behaviour seen in a video that allegedly shows him attacking his former partner, Cassie.

The apology came after CNN released footage that appears to show the rapper assaulting Cassie and throwing an unidentified object at her from a nearby table. This footage aligns with Cassie’s statements in a lawsuit she filed against Diddy, where she claimed he “became extremely intoxicated and punched [her] in the face” at a hotel. She also said he followed her into the hallway, throwing glass vases at her after she tried to leave while he was asleep.

Diddy (real name Sean Combs) took to Instagram to share an apology video. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you’ve got to do that,” he began. “I was messed up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behaviour in that video is inexcusable.”

He continued, “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and sought out professional help. I got into therapy and rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

Diddy is currently facing several ongoing investigations concerning allegations of s*x trafficking, s*xual assault and harassment. His homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided in March, seemingly related to these accusations.

In November, Cassie, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, filed a federal lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of r*pe and physical abuse. The two were in a romantic relationship from 2007, when she was 21, until 2018. Cassie and Diddy settled their abuse lawsuit one day after it was filed. According to attorney Douglas Wigdor, who represented Cassie, both parties settled their lawsuit to their “mutual satisfaction.”

Shortly after Cassie’s lawsuit, two additional allegations surfaced from two different women. One claimed that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her, while the other alleged that Combs and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall took turns r*ping her and her friend in 1990 or 1991, with Diddy allegedly turning violent days later. Aaron Hall has not responded to these claims.

Diddy denied all allegations against him on his official Twitter account a few weeks later.

In February, producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones sued Diddy, alleging he s*xually assaulted him and hosted parties with s*x workers and underage girls. Jones also claimed Diddy coerced him into sleeping with prostitutes. Diddy responded, saying Jones’ claims were “pure fiction,” denying any wrongdoing.
