‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ marks a momentous occasion, as it arrives 12 years after its predecessor, the immensely popular ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, concluded its four-season run on the Disney Channel. The original series also spawned a TV movie, 2009’s ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’: The Movie, and a TV special, 2012’s The ‘Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex’, further solidifying its place in the hearts of fans worldwide.

Before the new iteration was officially announced in January, Gomez had expressed her profound desire to revisit the iconic series that had captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. In an interview with Extra, when asked about which project of hers she’d like to remake or reboot, her response was unwavering: “Mine is Wizards, hands down, I would love that.”
