Selena Gomez Shares Photo With Benny Blanco After Hailey Bieber’s Pregnancy Announcement

Selena Gomez expresses gratitude for her bond with her boyfriend Benny Blanco.

‘The Only Murders in the Building’ actress, aged 31, shared a heartfelt moment with Blanco, aged 36, on her Instagram Story on Thursday, 9th May, shortly after her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey Bieber, announced they were expecting their first child.

The black-and-white snapshot depicted Gomez and Blanco holding hands affectionately under a blanket. Gomez accessorized with a chunky spiral ring on her pointer finger, juxtaposed with promotional stills from Thursday’s episode of ‘Selena + Chef,’ where she showcases her take on Texas barbecue.

Additionally, Gomez shared a group photo featuring herself, Blanco, and her Only Murders co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin.

Though Gomez hasn’t directly addressed the Bieber family’s baby news, she has previously clarified that she harbours no animosity towards Hailey, aged 27. Gomez, who dated Justin Bieber on and off from 2010 to 2018, maintains a respectful stance despite past rumours of tension between her and Hailey, who began dating Justin in 2015 before their engagement in 2018 and subsequent marriage that same year.

In March 2023, Gomez took to Instagram to defend Hailey against online harassment, emphasizing her stance against hate and bullying. Hailey reciprocated the sentiment in June of the same year, expressing frustration over the perpetuation of feud narratives between herself, Gomez, and Justin.

“It’s not about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez. This isn’t about pitting two women against each other,” Hailey remarked during an episode of Bloomberg’s ‘The Circuit With Emily Chang.’ “It’s about the toxic, baseless narratives that breed hatred and division.”

She continued, “It’s disheartening to address this issue continually. There is no feud, no conflict. It’s unfortunate that people still engage in this behaviour, all over a man. It’s a sad reality of our world.”
