Selena Gomez Surprises Fans With Collab Album Featuring Fiancé Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez is working with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, on a special collaboration for her upcoming album.
The singer and actress shocked fans by revealing ‘I Said I Love You First’, the record she and Blanco are working on. The project is scheduled for release on 21st March and represents their debut musical partnership.
After dating for more than a year, Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement on Instagram in December 2024. Before disclosing the album’s title and release date, the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star teased her followers in her post that she had deceived them. Along with pre-orders for signed items and exclusive souvenirs, she also revealed that the first track, ‘Scared of Loving You’, was accessible on all streaming services. Blanco wrote a poignant note in the comments section, declaring his love for Gomez.

‘Scared of Loving You’, the first song, was released with a visual lyric video. Gomez, Blanco, and eight-time Grammy winner Finneas wrote the song, and both Blanco and Finneas produced it.
A press release claims that the album gives listeners a close-up view of Gomez and Blanco’s romance. It was made naturally, expressing the ease and inventiveness they experienced while collaborating. From life before they met to falling in love and looking to the future, the songs follow their journey.
Gomez and Blanco had a history of working together on music before they were married. Gomez’s 2015 album ‘Revival’ was co-produced by Blanco with ‘Kindness’ and ‘Same Old Love’. They later collaborated with Tainy and J Balvin on the 2019 song ‘I Can’t Get Enough’, in which Blanco wore a gigantic teddy bear costume for the music video and Gomez wore pyjamas. They most recently collaborated on her single ‘Single Soon’ in August 2023.

Gomez stated on the ‘SmartLess’ podcast in early 2024 that she was thinking about releasing one more album before concentrating on acting. Although she never intended to pursue a music career, she acknowledged that her singing career took a completely different turn than she had anticipated. Blanco made hints on TikTok that they were collaborating on new music in January 2025, just a year later.
