The global music star, who will kick off a world tour, has made it clear that she is "not thinking" about finding a romantic partner anytime soon. In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, Shakira explained her stance, stating, "What space do I have for a man right now?" Her perspective is heavily influenced by her children, Milan and Sasha, whom she shares with her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué.
Following the breakup, rumours surfaced that the athlete had cheated on her with his current girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. Despite this, Shakira maintains a candid yet humorous outlook on relationships. "What can I tell you, I like men. That’s the problem. I shouldn’t like them with everything that’s happened to me, but imagine how much I like men that I still like," she joked.

She emphasised that having a formal relationship would require her children to be emotionally and psychologically prepared, and their well-being remains her top priority. Shakira also touched on her newfound independence, saying, "I’m so much less fragile than I thought. I was always so scared of pain because I thought I wouldn’t survive it. Through this process, I became stronger than I thought I was. I became a more independent person, one who doesn’t rely on anyone but herself and her wolf pack."
The Grammy winner credited her single status as a significant factor in her ability to create new music. When she released 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' in March, she attributed her creative output to her newfound freedom.

During an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' she shared, "I've been putting out music here and there, but it was really hard for me to put together a body of work." Shakira added that her previous relationship had been a hindrance to her career. "I didn't have time. It was the husband factor," she explained. "Now I'm husbandless.
Yeah, the husband was dragging me down. Now I'm free. Now I can actually work." Reflecting on her journey, Shakira's focus remains on her independence and her role as a mother. She continues to prioritise her children's well-being while embracing her strength and creativity.
